The Kenton Rain Jacket, a Cadence x 686 collaboration, is one of the brands most technical releases to date. Renowned for their bold patterns, fonts and California inspired collections, creative head honcho Dustin Klein is still a daily cyclist and knows all to well the perils of wet weather riding. By teaming up with 686, a snow and adventure brand, Cadence added tonnes of clever tech into this bike centric cut, and styled jacket.
A 3-layer shell fabric is woven with infiDRY 20 (20,000mm water-resistance / 20,000gm2 breathability) - otherwise known as very waterproof and with about as much breathability squeezed in as possible. Fully taped seams throughout and water resistant zippers go further in adding full waterproofing and when an uphill slog awaits or the sun beats down, Air-Flow under arm vents allow a quick cool off.
Practicalities come in the form of vented pockets for any and all rider essentials and an internal audio pocket keeps tech dry. Lycra cuffs, adjustable for use with gloves, keep wind or water ingress at bay. An adjustable hood and rain visor tops off the Kenton making this one of the best, urban specific rain jackets we’ve come across.
